Djakarta Warehouse Project began its journey in 2008 as a club event held at Jakarta’s renowned club, Blowfish, under the name Blowfish Warehouse Project. The festival upholds one of Indonesia’s most important values: diversity. Various sub-genres within dance music are given a stage across multiple festival areas, including the iconic bird-shaped main stage called “Garuda Land,” inspired by Indonesia’s national emblem, Garuda Pancasila.
Throughout its ten editions, many world-renowned artists have graced the stages of Djakarta Warehouse Project, including Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, Carl Cox, Skrillex, Tiësto, Diplo, Major Lazer, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Axwell Λ Ingrosso, and DJ Snake, among many others.
Starting in 2010, the festival was held annually every December as a one-day event before expanding into a two-day festival in 2014, which also hosted the world’s largest paint party, Life in Color.
In 2015, Djakarta Warehouse Project was named “Best EDM Festival of 2015” by EDM Sauce. In 2016, the festival welcomed more than 20,000 international attendees from 39 countries over the course of two days. The festival also hosted the Asian debut of Barcelona’s Elrow touring concept in 2017 with a spectacular stage and colorful performances. In the same year, hip-hop acts made their debut at the festival, featuring the full lineup of 88rising artists alongside Desiigner.
In 2018, the festival returned successfully for its 10th Anniversary Edition on December 7, 8, and 9 at GWK Cultural Park, marking the first time the festival was held for three days. The record-breaking annual celebration continued at JiExpo Kemayoran on December 13, 14, and 15, 2019, attracting more than 90,000 attendees.
After being held virtually for two years through DWPV and DWPV 2.0 until 2021, 2022 marked the highly anticipated return of the offline edition of Djakarta Warehouse Project, drawing visitors from more than 34 countries over three days. In 2023, DWP celebrated its 15th anniversary at GWK Cultural Park.
This year, DWP returns on December 11, 12, and 13, 2026, in Jakarta, promising a spectacular experience and lineup.
